Local beer drinkers have a lot to cheers about these days with the influx of micro-breweries, brewpubs and craft beer-focused eateries launching in Toronto's east end.
This summer, there's another reason to raise a cold one: The Art of Craft Beer, a "multi-sensory beer experience that pairs the best in craft beer label art with the best in craft beer," is coming to Leslieville.
A follow-up to last fall’s debut in the city’s west end, the free and kid-friendly event is taking place June 3 on the lawns of Ashbridge Estate.
The event, which runs from 12 p.m. - 8 p.m., is partnering with the following Ontario brewers: Left Field Brewery, Wellington Brewery, Cameron’s Brewing, Great Lakes Brewery, Henderson Brewing, Sawdust City Brewing Co., Beau's Brewery, Nickel Brook, and Collective Arts Brewing.
The Art of Craft Beer features a silent auction with proceeds benefitting Sketch, a not-for-profit organization engaging street-involved youth through the arts.
The event will feature an art expo featuring work by craft beer label artists, plus a pop-up of merch from participating brewers.
Food vendors, yet to be announced, will share a farm-to-table sensibility and are all members of Feast On, a program which champions Ontario’s unique food and drink.
