Changes are stirring for Saturday Dinette, the Riverdale diner as much a neighbourhood darling for its comfort-meets-healthy dishes as its retro touches and animated personalities.
The corner spot is cutting dinner service effective May 31 to concentrate solely on its brunch program. The Dinette will continue its brunch program, expanding to seven days a week from 9 a.m. - 3 p.m. starting June 1.
The restaurant has also announced a new venture called Kid Chocolate, a lunch counter and bar, slated to open this summer just a few doors down on Gerrard St. E.
The Dinette also announced that it will be taking its show on the road by way of a summer residency "at a well-known and beloved group in the west end."
More details to come on the new spot as well as the summer residency. Stay tuned.
