A new brewpub is currently in the works in Toronto's east end in the former space of Le Papillon on the Park and the short-lived Wine Swine.

According to Toronto beer blog Bottomless Pint, Rorschach Brewing Co. is being founded by partners Mohan Pandit, Chris Risteuski, Ben Ragan and brewmaster Matthew Reiner.

The brewpub, whose slogan is “Life’s too short for ordinary beer,” will feature a 10-barrel brewhouse with six fermenters and two bright tanks with a goal of creating "craft beers that are complex and flavourful but also highly drinkable."

The restaurant, on the western edge of Woodbine Park, will have space for 70 to 80 on the main floor, and approximately 100 on a second floor patio. The food menu will be focused on snacks and sharing plates meant to complement the beer.

A bottle shop for takeaway beer is planned, pending licensing approvals.

Rorschach Brewing is slated to open in 2017. Visit rorschachbrewing.com for more information.
