P.O. Box 1192 opened its doors over the Thanksgiving long weekend, giving Leslieville a new place to eat, drink and dance.
As reported last week, Rock Lobster closed its doors and the space was quickly remodelled in the span of a week before opening as P.O. Box 1192 under new management.
The new spot focuses on approachable menu items — snacks, classic mains and small bites — all at reasonable price points. Snacks include mac and cheese balls ($7), Thai chicken nachos ($8), butternut squash ravioli ($9) and beef short-rib poutine ($9). There are also mains on offer like a provolone smoked bacon burger ($10), chicken cobb salad ($12) and smoked salmon fettuccine alfredo ($14).
The bar has regular DJs on Friday and Saturday nights and also hosts an industry party every Monday night with $5 drink specials.
P.O. Box 1192 is at — you guessed it — 1192 Queen St. E at the corner of Curzon. There is no website or Facebook page at this time, but scope them out on Instagram here.
