Toronto will open 36 outdoor skating rinks across the city this Saturday, Nov. 26, with the remaining rinks ready by Dec. 3.
Local pads at Monarch Park and Kew Gardens as well as both the covered rink and skating trail at Greenwood Park are part of the first wave to open this weekend. The rink at Jimmie Simpson Park will open Dec. 3.
The rink at Riverdale Park East is closed for the 2016-17 season due to park infrastructure upgrades.
General hours of operation for city-run outdoor rinks are 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m., seven days a week. Hours vary at each location so to help plan for your skating visit, and for more information on the rinks in operation this winter, including maps, locations, schedules and programs, check out the City of Toronto's website.
Rinks will remain open until late March as long as the weather cooperates.
