The tastes and experiences of Toronto's east end will be celebrated during an upcoming food and drink showcase.

Returning for its third year, the Leslieville Food & Drink Festival turns a spotlight on the community by promoting local talents — from chefs and sommeliers to artists and musicians — and the local businesses that support them.

The annual event, which is being organized by The VandenBerg House, will feature gourmet food, craft beer, wine and cocktails from over 40 restaurants, breweries and other local businesses.

The festival will have a food market and chef demos, wine pairing seminars, and a silent auction and raffle with all proceeds supporting Michael Garron Hospital. There will also be live musical performances and a DJ to turn things up.

Leslieville Food & Drink Festival is taking place at District 28 on May 5 from 4 p.m. - 11 p.m. Advance tickets are $22 and can be purchased on the event page
