The market for artisinal goods is heating up in the east end with the opening of Brika.

The Toronto-based retailer, which got its start online and through a series of successful pop-ups, has set up shop along Queen East in Riverside.

Brika is the city's own version of Etsy, offering a curated selection of modern gifts, artisan crafts, home decor goods and accessesories, along with information about the people who make them.

The company opened its first permanent brick-and-mortar shop last year on Queen West, and launched a retail space inside Mississauga's Square One shopping mall earlier in 2016. Queen East will mark the third location for the growing brand.

Brika is now open at 768 Queen St. E. Visit for more info.
